This Thanksgiving, Share in Our Gratitude

By Mike Gibbons, RICP®

Thanksgiving is a season for reflection and spending time with family. It’s also a time to find gratitude for what you have. Many of our clients are thankful for their financial success, but gratitude goes far beyond finances. Join us in exploring some of the things we’re thankful for this season.

Health and Wellness

If you’re like most of our clients, you work in the pharmaceutical industry, so you’re constantly focused on other people’s health. But when was the last time you reflected on your own good health with gratitude?

It’s easy to take good physical and mental health for granted. However, good health is the cornerstone of a successful and rewarding life.

Personal Growth and Life-Enriching Experiences

When thinking about gratitude, many people immediately focus on their careers. Your career can enrich your life in innumerable ways. However, it’s also important to consider how other experiences can support your personal growth.

Travel

At the peak of your career, you may not have much time for recreational travel. However, many of our retired clients are excited to explore the world. Whether you’ve been on several adventures this year or you’re still creating your travel bucket list, don’t take this life-changing opportunity for granted!

Passions and Hobbies

Our team is thankful for the chance to help our clients make the most of their finances and bring their visions of the future to life. We also express our gratitude for life-enriching hobbies and passions.

Depending on where you are in your career, it might be challenging to find the time to dive into your hobbies as much as you’d like to. If you plan your retirement carefully, you’ll have the opportunity to invest more time in the activities you love. You might even discover a new hobby or two.

Continuous Learning

Being finished with school doesn’t mean you stop learning. Whether you attend a lecture on an interesting topic, participate in a workshop, or gain a deeper understanding of the world through life experience, continuous learning adds color to your life.

Giving Back

For our team (and for many of our clients), giving back to the community is one of the most meaningful expressions of gratitude. Philanthropy is a powerful way to use your wealth to change the world for the better, but there are many other ways to give back:

  • Volunteering with local nonprofits

  • Serving on the board of directors of an organization you care about

  • Starting a charitable organization

  • Mentoring others in your field (or in a hobby you’re knowledgeable about)

During the legacy planning process, many of our clients say they want their wealth to make a lasting impact. That may mean making direct contributions to charity or even establishing a family tradition of giving with a donor-advised fund (DAF).

This Season, We’re Thankful for Our Clients

We want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude to our clients and those who’ve connected with us along the way. To our clients, thank you for trusting us to help build your financial future. Your confidence in us is something we never take for granted. And to those just getting to know us, we’re grateful for your interest and look forward to the chance to help you and your family pursue your goals with confidence.
